About The FreedomFromAlcohol Method Screening Test
This FreedomFromAlcohol Method Screening test is a service provided by www.FreedomFromAlcohol.com in conjunction with Pearlman Therapeutics LLC. The test is based on the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT), developed by the World Health Organization to screen for harmful or hazardous drinking patterns.

This screening test assists its participants in determining whether or not they may have a problem with alcohol and makes recommendations for follow up action if suggested based on their results. Our hope is a test participant will learn more about the hazardous and harmful drinking patterns they may have developed and seek out positive options for care. At risk drinkers become better informed about the risk that alcohol can pose and cautions against high risk drinking.

 

Alcohol abuse in the United States has become a major health care concern. Over 100,000 deaths each year can be attributed to misuse of alcohol costing the health care system billions of dollars per annum. One simply has to watch the news or read a newspaper to realize that alcohol is a major contributing factor in increased violent crime, a chief cause of injuries, also production losses in manufacturing due to lost hours and poor performance. Problems in the workplace and schools generally are far more prevalent along with family stress and social friction.

 

Moderate drinking of alcohol is in general safe for most people and actually may have some unexpected health benefits for certain folks who imbibe socially. However, there are quite a few people who have no idea what low risk drinking is let alone under what situations abstaining from alcohol is the absolute right choice to make. Of those who do drink alcohol, the large majority of at risk individuals do not even realize they have a problem with alcohol and no one has confronted them about their drinking habits or patterns.
