Meet Michael Pearlman, M.D.

Published by Michael Pearlman, M.D.

One of history’s greatest artisans also appeared to be somewhat of a philosopher as well. When asked by an ink stained reporter at the time how he knew that the ‘Pieta’ and the ‘David’ were in those blocks of marble? Michelangelo replied, ‘I didn’t know the ‘Pieta’ and the ‘David’ were in the marble, however, as I cut at the marble, I knew what I wanted and what I didn’t want and the ‘Pieta’ and the ‘David’ emerged!’

I also have had an awakening, a spiritual realization that I can help those people suffering with alcohol addiction. They carry the burden of the ‘marble block’ with them every day they continue to drink alcohol excessively. My mission along with my team, is to help those suffering from alcohol addiction emerge from their own ‘marble blocks’ so they can start enjoying the amazing masterpiece their life will become when alcohol free.

I am launching a new website and blog that has a primary purpose of giving alcoholics their lives back. All problem drinkers, whether you are suffering physical pain, emotional upset and strife, stuck in a miserable world of self dread or generally losing any semblance of sanity that you once enjoyed, will benefit from my program. I will do this with my proven treatment methods that have helped countless others regain their lost perspective and become the person everyone around them once knew.

You see, I too am an alcoholic and combined with my experience as a psychiatrist and new prescription drugs available today, we can free you to start living a normal life again. Like the one you have probably been quietly praying for as you reach for yet another drink. This powerful combination of medicine, counseling and spiritual awareness worked for me and it will also work for you if you have the constitutional makeup to affect change in your life.

The desire to want to change your life combined with post drinking behavioral therapy will give you back the life you once had and provide you stable bedrock with which to successfully move forward. Remember what it was like to have dreams and ambitions. How did this dreadful disease takeover your mind and body and how can you be sure it won’t happen again?

By being able to heal myself I was able to devise a program to help others and this gratifying outcome to my own despair is what drives me in my quest to assist others with their pain and help them recognize what they need to achieve lifelong sobriety in their lives.

We all know there are many social networks and treatment options available today for alcoholics such as A.A. and various rehab centers and there is certainly a place for them. My program is designed for the individual who requires total anonymity and prefers a one on one setting.

The first step is in acknowledging the ‘marble block’ – to be able to speak of it, and share your experience, fears and concerns.

The next is an openness and willingness to call upon and choose the truly desired experiences i.e. how your life would be if it were the way you wanted it to be?

The third step is to make that ‘block of marble’ and your life the subject of the creative process. Are you open and willing to explore and actually create the life you truly desire?

Being privileged to work with others as they clarify their dreams and desires while letting go of their ‘block’ – the pain and suffering – is my greatest thrill!

Helping others to ’sculpt’ their own life and destiny – this is my greatest desire!

    Hello,
My name is Matt Raven and I am an intern for the newly launched DUIFoundation.org a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. I currently help maintain and write content for the DUI Foundation to educate and prevent against the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol and other impairing substances. The DUI Foundation website contains a database of knowledge covering health issues, legal information, current news and events updates, information details on support programs, as well as research and many other helpful resources.
At DUIFoundation.org, we hope to reinforce the idea that a single drunk driving accident can permanently have a negative impact on you, passengers in your vehicle, and anyone else involved in the disaster.
I am asking you to please support our cause and spread our message through adding a single-text link (titled “New York DUI” with the URL: http://www.duifoundation.org/newyork) or short blurb on your blog which links back to our site. We could offer an entry of your site into our care directory in return. This will allow our viewers to be directed to your site’s information. Please help us in our mission to spread a message and prevent life-altering decisions.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing back from you!
    Best Regards,
    Matt Raven

Hi, I’m John and I think the perception people have about alcohol and other addictive drugs is wrong. Alcoholism isn’t a complicated subject that people make it out to be. Many of the so-called experts cloud the problem in such a way that they even confuse themselves. The real truth is that even the so-called experts don’t understand drug addiction.

John, thank you for your comments. While you are indeed correct that there is a lot of misunderstanding of the disease of addiction, the good news this that fora such as this and many, many other sites offer a variety of voices to help clarify the problem.

My opinion is that the internet is another leap in the ability of mankind to learn and to expand its consciousness – in doing so there is a lot of ‘nonsense’, of course, however the dialogue of many voices, many ‘mental models’ – may serve, I trust, to help others to a fuller and more complete understanding of addiction with all its complexities. Michael
