Is your drinking behavior scaring you? Do you fear the harmful effects that your excessive drinking may be causing you? Maybe you’re afraid you are missing out on things in life that you shouldn’t be because of your apparent problem with alcohol. If you would rather stay home and drink than go out to socialize, or you spend weekends with a glass of wine stuck in your hand because there is no work the next day, these are warning signs you want to take seriously.

I remember asking myself this question almost every day when I was in the primary stages of my final recovery from drinking. I simply could not smile anymore; people I was now depending on were walking around me on egg shells. Getting sober wasn’t supposed to suck the life blood out of me. I had stopped drinking before often to ‘dry’ out and after a few days of the shakes and the longest hangovers in recorded history, I always seemed to be able to get by without alcohol, at least until my next drink. Perhaps you started drinking alcohol at your senior prom and never looked back. You were nervous, there was quite a bit going on at the time and your anxiety was running very high. You were offered a drink to liven things up and one drink turned into another; soon you were doing the moon walk better than Michael Jackson. These parties weren’t so bad after all as long as you had a drink or two to quell your nerves.

I just celebrated and toasted my thirteenth year of sobriety and I did it with ice tea! There was a time when any celebration would have meant a few glasses of 12 year old scotch but not anymore! The feeling of gratefulness because of my freedom from alcohol is as powerful 13 years later as it was 4,748 days ago!

Blatantly pinching a famous opening line, it was the best of times and the worst of times for Brenda and Liz. This sentence brilliantly describes the lives of these two women who shared a problem. These women could not be any more different and probably would ignore each other if they met by accident on the street. Yet they share an eerily similar dark secret; they both are nurturing a growing dependence on alcohol. Continue Reading »

THE INNER BODY
(excerpt from ‘the power of now’ by Eckhart Tolle)
. . . but that visible and tangible body is only an outer shell, or rather a limited and distorted perception of a deeper reality. in your natural state of connectedness with Being, this deeper reality can be felt every moment as the invisible inner body, the animating presence within you. So to “inhabit the body’ is to feel the body from within, to feel the life inside the body and thereby come to know that you are beyond the outer form. Continue Reading »

The focus of our work is on coaching people to understand their energy and to choose the life they desire!
When someone has an alcohol problem, that has obviously created a state of resistance, so that they do not have access to their higher self, we have to first find a way to remove that resistance, in this case removing the addiction to alcohol, before they can find their way to their own self. First, there is the field of complete consciousness.
This then expresses itself in an organic form.
From here it loses itself in organizing the physical environment around it. Continue Reading »

When you, as a physician, help someone to accept Well-being enough that they allow the Well-being, whether they allow it in this physical body or whether they have to release this physical body to allow it, it’s still the same thing. In other words, they can allow the wellness into this body, or they can allow the wellness by leaving this body. But allowing the wellness is what you are assisting them in doing. Focus upon the Well-being, and see them opening and receiving it here, or opening and receiving it from Non-Physical. But focus upon the Well-being. And as you focus upon the Well-being, what we’ve noticed is, if you can get someone’s attention and you can convince them that Well-being is the order of the day—there is no illness that will not leave them in the moment that they finally get that. 3/02/02 ‘Abe Quotes’ from Jerry and Esther Hicks.
